Pacific Grove Women's Golf Club
The Pacific Grove Women’s Golf Club (PGWGC) is a group of women golfers of all levels who enjoy golf and socializing with other women golfers. Our club was established in 1962 and is affiliated with the United States Golf Association (USGA) through membership in the Pacific Women’s Golf Association (PWGA). Membership is open to amateur women golfers 18 years of age or older. The purpose of our Club is to offer competitive golf in a variety of fun formats, to foster among its membership careful observance of the rules and etiquette of the game of golf, and to promote fellowship and friendship among our members.
We play regularly on Wednesday mornings with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The Club has three major tournaments each year: Spring Handicap, Club Championship, and Ace of Aces. You must be an active member to participate in these tournaments. In August we hold a Memorial Tournament to raise funds for a designated non-profit organization. We also sponsor two special “Guest Days” each year, one in June and one in October, to encourage members to invite friends and potential new members.
Our Club includes an active 9-hole group that plays weekly on Monday. The two groups share many functions throughout the year.
